PRAIRIE MIXES:

Mesic Mixed-Height Prairie Mix (Standard, Enhanced, Economy)
Mesic Short Prairie Mix (Standard, Enhanced, Economy)
These mixes are designed for reasonably well drained sites that have moisture available throughout the growing season, and are available in a mixed-height (mature plants range from 2 to 6 feet) as well as a short version (mature plants are under 4 feet).

Dry Mixed-Height Prairie Mix (Standard, Enhanced, Economy)
Dry Short Prairie Mix (Standard, Enhanced, Economy)
These mixes will thrive on slopes and well drained uplands and are available in a mixed-height (mature plants range from 2 to 6 feet) as well as a short version (mature plants are under 4 feet).

Standard Mixes contain a highly diverse mix of wildflowers and grasses that will provide a wealth of ever-changing color throughout the year. These are some of the most popular mixes we offer.

Enhanced Mixes include the same species found in the Standard Mixes, but have an increased wildflower rate and a decreased grass rate. These mixes are ideal choices for landscaping applications or sites that will be highly visible.

Economy Mixes contain some of the most common grasses and wildflowers found throughout the prairie and are a great choice for planting on larger acreages or areas of lower visibility where a diverse prairie is still desired.

SHADY MIXES:

Savanna Mix
This mix was designed to be planted in areas with scattered trees and will flourish in full sun as well as partial shade. Common savanna trees include Bur and Black Oaks.

Woodland Edge Mix
This mix should be planted near the edge of existing woodlands and contains species that can grow in full sun as well as partial shade.

WETLAND MIXES:

Wet Prairie Mix
This mix thrives in medium to wet soils with full sun. Species can tolerate seasonal saturation as well as drier periods in summer months.

Sedge Meadow Mix
This mix is well suited for areas that are persistently moist and may periodically be inundated like stream banks and wetland mitigation sites.

Emergent Mix
This mix consists of species that will thrive in the emergent zone as well as saturated soils and is typically planted at the edge of standing water. Species will begin to populate in up to 6 inches of water once they are established.
