Minnesota DOT Mixes

The Minnesota Department of Transportation has developed seed mixtures for a wide range of ecological conditions. All MN DOT mixes are sold on a Pure Live Seed (PLS) basis and the 300 series native mixes require the use of Minnesota certified (Yellow Tag) species when available. MN DOT Environmental Services may make substitutions based on availability throughout the year. A complete list of approved substitutions along with the MN DOT Seeding Manual can be found at the MN DOT Environmental Services Erosion Control website.
